I am in a state of shock as I read current events within my dear Yorkie groups. The tears flow freely as I have learned of the death of a person that changed my life forever. Terri has taught me so much about being a good breeder and just about Yorkies in general. Before I knew her, I was a "backyard breeder" but she taught me the error of my ways and how to begin anew. Because of her I have a library of 100's of books about Yorkies (or dogs in general), have taken many breeding related courses and even a new veterinarian tech associate degree which I have just begun. I have also had all my babies liver shunt & DNA tested and those that are not bred are neutered/spayed. I share the info she shared with me with all my clients and put all of her advice to practical use. I will miss the privilege of being able to run to her when I have a Yorkie issue. I will miss reading all the words of wisdom she has shared within numerous groups. I will miss her spirit and generosity. I love her so much even though I have never met her. I feel like I've known her forever. I am really crushed. She has been such an inspiration to so many and the world will be a lesser place without her. My heart, my tears, my deepest sympathies go out to all her family and friends at this awful time in our lives. Her name as so many of her words will be engraved on my heart for my lifetime. I feel such a deep loss and I'm sure all of you do as well. If God will just grant me just half the tenacity and willingness to make this breed better I will surely make a tremendous contribution to the cause. The Yorkie world will mourn for a long time but we take great solace in the fact that she roams through heaven and Rainbow Bridge with her the precious Yorkies she helped along the way.
